Rao's Tutorial Institute has been in the Education field teaching for high school and college classes since its founding in 1962 by Sri. K.N.Rao, a gifted teacher and scholar.

The Institute built a reputation through the excellence of its programs in all areas of study.

Under K.N.Rao's Principalship (1962-1992) the Institute prospered in Jayanagar, an area of Bangalore.

The Institute provides students with the opportunity to learn the theoretical and practical aspects in this field. The programs of study are designed to meet the needs of individual students.

Program Details

High School Section

X Standard School attending students

Classes for students who are attending
school, appearing for the S.S.L.C Public
Examination and requiring coaching for
particular subjects to gain higher percentage of marks.

Students can select Morning and Evening batch according to their school timings and convenience.

Coaching is given for Languages and Core subjects.

X Standard by
Private Study

Students who have failed / discontinued in VII,VIII or IX Std in State / ICSE / CBSE canappear for X Standard Karnataka State Board Examination through the Institute Privately.

Students are made to appear for the Annual Examination conducted in March-April of every year
.

X Standard Supplementary Examination

Classes for students who have once appeared for X Std Examination and failed in or or more subjects for supplementary Examination.

Classes will commence immediately after the announcement of Results in the month of May.

One month crash course will be held.


ICSE Syllabus

Classes for 8th, 9th & 10 ICSE students who are attending school and require coaching
Subjects taught: Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, Computer Applications, Kannada, Hindi

CBSE Syllabus

Classes for 8th, 9th & 10 CBSE students who are attending school, requiring coaching to gain higher percentage of marks.

Subjects taught: Mathematics, Science, Kannada, Hindi

Classes for students who are attending college and require coaching to gain higher percentage of marks.

Classes are conducted in the evening between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Students have to select PCM / PCB or PCMB groups only. They cannot take individual subjects.

II Year P.U.C (Commerce) by
Private Study


Students who have discontinued after X standard or failed in I Year P.U.C (Science or Commerce) can appear for Karnataka State Board II Year P.U.C Commerce Examination if they complete 18 years before the examination.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What type of classes are you providing?

We are providing regular after school classes for Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Biology for CBSE (7th to 10th) / ICSE (7th to 10th) & State (7th to 10th) Syllabus.

We do not provide any coaching for NTSE / Olympiads or competitive exams (CET/JEE/NEET).

2. What is your way of teaching methods / practices?

Teacher will introduce and explain the concept to the students. Teacher will provide worksheets of different difficulty level in order to enhance their understanding.

3. How many students will be there in each class?

Our seats are limited with maximum of twenty students.

4. Does the student get individual attention in the class?

Yes, Teacher will work with the students individually clarify their doubts during the classroom sessions itself.

5. Do you give any regular test or assessments?

Class tests are conducted every saturday for 10th Standard. For lower classes tests are conducted after the completion of the lesson.

6. Do you give regular assignment to the students?

Not everyday but once a week after the completion of the lesson. Teacher will help to complete the assignments if they have any doubts.

7. Is one hour class enough?

The attention span of the students is only 45 minutes. So one hour class is enough for the students. Any class that last longer than that is sure to end with students missing the instructional material as their minds wander.

If we take for longer hours, it will not help the students.

8. When will be the syllabus completed?

For 10th Standard, the half-year portions will be completed by July end. August & September will be revision classes for the Mid-Term examination.

Classes for 2nd Term begins in October and remaining syllabus will be completed by December. January & Ferbruary will be revision for the final examination.

For lower classes, syllabus will be completed according to their school portions and examinations.

9. What kind of resources do you provide?

All our worksheets/Assignments are made by our teachers with reference to different text books and board exam papers.

10. How about your students’ performance in the past years?

Students performance is relative to their effort, potential and their fundamentals. Students who are regular in their study, sincere in their assignments show improvement.

11. When does classes start for next academic year?

12. What are your Teachers Qualification?

Teachers are well qualified and post graduate degrees in their respective subjects.

13. Are the teachers currently teaching in schools?

Some of our teachers work part time in our Institute. They work in schools during the daytime.

14. Can my ward attend a demo class?

No, The student should finish the admission formalities before attending the classes. You should have faith in the teacher.

15. What will be the days and timings in regular school days?

The timings are the same throughout the academic year.

16. Do you provide make up classes, if the student did not attend the scheduled class?

If students were absent for the class, we will not provide extra class. However, teacher will help the student to catch up the missed work.

17. What is the fees and payment cycle? Can I pay it in cash?

Please check for the fees based on your grades and enrolled subjects. Fees has to be paid in two installments first payment will be at the time of admission and second installment will be after two months. The tuition fee can be paid in cash/Cheque/Online transfer/UPI. Online payment details will be provided to you on confirming the enrollment.
